So in an effort to kick off this baby, I thought I would put up the post that I had on my previous blog that his since died a technological death.

I was rambling about Kevin Rudd's spending spree and that I see grants as a way of directing societal behaviours.  As such I just think the spending spree should have way more strings attached.  I am thrilled that a lot of it is going to local communities via their local govts (altho i did hear that some of this has now been renegged on - anyone know more?) but i think you shouldnt get a grant unless you do something that improves the society - pick up rubbish, spend time with your kids, grow a garden, invent a new solar panel etc.  Why dont we get more milage out of this money that our kids are going to have to pay off?

Am i a control freak?

Sadly my previous blog died a technological death.  So this blog replaces it and I would like to use it to generate some discussion around funding in Australia.  As I can see it, there aren't any other blogs around to discuss this topic.  So everyone who is seeking and securing funding is welcome to add to this blog.
